As our 6th and 7th grade girls were learning about caring for creation, they heard that Al, the 100-year-old Aldabra giant tortoise at Binder Park Zoo, has a "wish list" put together by his zookeepers. They decided to hold a fundraiser to purchase everything on the list, plus some extra to go toward his medications. They have been working hard to put together a fun CarnivAL, complete with games (game tickets $1 each), face painting, t-shirts, tortoise-themed bracelets and keychains, raffles, a silent auction, door prizes, hotdog combos, popcorn, and a bake sale!
