• NKC Rocks the Park

Thursday, September 16, 2021, 6pm at Rogers Park in Sparta (152 N State St)

    (more info here)

North Kent Connect “Rocks the Park” is this year’s fundraiser to help NKC continue to provide programs and services to families in northern Kent County. Enjoy a family-friendly concert hosted by Sparta’s favorite funny man, Jeff “Spanky” Amlotte, and featuring hometown favorite band Gunnar and the Grizzly Boys. Plus, you won’t want to miss the special performance by 12 local pastors appearing as “The Calendar Clergy”. Bring your lawn chairs. Food trucks and local restaurants will be on site for purchasing food and drinks. Let’s get ready to rock the park for our neighbors in need!

RRC has 40 free tickets available. Contact the front office (connect@rockfordrc.org) if you would like one. For each person going, we need first and last name, email, and cell phone number. This will enable mobile check-in, mobile bidding text alerts, and email receipts for purchases at the event. You can view the silent auction items and the calendar clergy bidding page here. Paper tickets are available for those who can't access digital ones.

Pastor Tim will be representing Rockford Reformed Church for the month of February dressed as Cupid. Everyone attending (or viewing the livestream) will be invited to “bid” on their favorite pastor (via their phone). We should be able to raise the most money – don’t make him do this for 2nd place! You will certainly want to purchase the calendar ($10) just to put the February photo on your refrigerator.
